It begins...

I wish I could make a sticky or something to float this above all the blog posts, but I guess I'll just have to make do with repeating myself constantly. Let this be the first of many repetitions.

My first novel, Avenari, is now currently being published on this blog. You can find its home above in the "Pages" bar-thing. Clicking on its home page will bring you to a brief description and a list of links which will take you to chapter Pages for the book. As of right now, the Prologue is available to read, but I'll be adding more chapters in a bit.

It goes without saying that everything on this blog is mine, and is under copyright unless I give express license for others to use my work in a limited, not-for-profit, fair use capacity. Seriously, just message me if you want to post an excerpt on your blog or website, and I'll be happy just to have the heads-up. And if I request that you take down something of mine, please just do it.

The internet is a wonderful place, and I'd rather not sully its pristine landscape with copyright lawyers or flame wars.

Well, "pristine" and "wonderful" are a bit of an exaggeration--4chan and the like probably shouldn't be described in that manner--but what matters here is the freedom to write and create and comment and love and hate and stalk (in a non-threatening manner) to your heart's content. I like it this way--please don't make me want to be a copyright douchebag.

For more consistent rambling--not book chapters--you should head over to my other blog. There, I'll talk about writing and drawing and other such nonsense. I prefer to keep the two separate.

First Things First

This blog is brand spanking new, so I've yet to hammer down exactly how I plan to do this. I'll be posting my stories here, but it may take some time for me to understand the best way to go about it.

Pages? Pages within pages (I don't actually know that I can do this...)? The blog posts themselves feel like it might not work out that well. Heck, I'm not even sure what the word limit is on the posts/pages. This may die before it's ever born.

Fictionpress certainly made things easy, but I'd really rather do this on my own somehow.

First things first: I really need to polish up the look of this thing.

So just let me get my bearings and we'll see.
